the meaning of my title

I'm really into music. I love all kinds and have since I can remember. I initially had trouble trying to figure out a title for my blog; however I then turned to my iTunes for help. After scheming through the thousands of songs in my music library I finally came across this electronic song that I've always enjoyed. I never understood the title of the song, so I finally looked it up in the dictionary. hal-cy-on [hal-see-uh n] adjective 1.calm;peaceful;tranquil 3.happy;joyful;carefree. The meaning of halcyon describes me in a lot of ways. There are definitely many other aspects about me that aren't related to halcyon, but for the most part I'm chill and try to be calm with all that I do.

Again I stress how much I enjoy music. In fact one day I hope to become a music supervisor and create soundtracks for movies. I think the type of music that a person listens to can tell a lot about that individual. For instance, my eclectic taste in music I think says that I'm very open to things. Open to different types of people in particular. I give people a try and do my hardest to not judge before listen to them. It's hard a times, but not judging can give you new perspectives on people and how they act.

Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is that if we were all halcyon our eyes would be open to new and great things, whether it be music or people.
